About the Role
The Security Guard/Transport Driver is integral to the team as the first point of contact for DR Security and assigned client organizations. Inspiring respect and authority, this role must be trained in managing individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Following specific protocols of DR Security and the assigned facility, this position will mitigate and prevent criminal behaviors and report information as needed to other guards and management. This role will also transport clients in a security vehicle, moving them to another facility or to an approved location upon release.
Full-time and Part-time positions available. All insurance and bonding requirements are provided. Benefits and PTO available for full-time employees.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Exhibit honesty and reliability; communicate clearly; think quickly.
Maintain a physical presence on-site to deter unauthorized access and ensure the safety of all individuals.
Utilize verbal and physical de-escalation techniques when necessary to handle incidents, including physical assault, destruction of property, and elopement.
Safely transport clients to/from psychiatric visits, other facilities, or homes, or motels.
Monitor visits from friends and family visits, ensuring peaceful confrontations if needed.
Monitor the control room and security/transport office, allocating time based on client cooperation and aggression levels.
Conduct periodic patrols of the parking lot to ensure security of access points and potential incidents.
Submit complete and detailed reports as required, recording observations, information, and occurrences throughout shift.
Adhere to all DR Security protocols and procedures outlined by Elk City Red Rock.
Other duties as assigned by the owner, Manager, or DOO
Requirements
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a security officer or guard, strong conflict resolution skills
Excellent surveillance and observation skills; familiarity with report writing
Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
CLEET Licensed as an unarmed security guard
CLEET Licensed as an armed security guard
Operates with flexibility and adaptability to any environment, making immediate decisions
Ability to multi-task, interpreting on-going problems and suggesting possible solutions
