RIDECARE
in Your State
Every community deserves safe, trauma-informed transportation for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. RIDECARE partners with states and agencies to build systems that protect dignity, reduce harm, and strengthen care.

Let’s Talk
If your state is ready to improve mental health response, we can help you explore the best path forward.
Ways RIDECARE
Can Enter Your State

1. State Funding and Legislative Support
Many states establish mental health transportation through designated funding or legislative action. We assist state leaders and agencies to outline the model, demonstrate cost savings, and support the development of a sustainable system of care.

2. Partnerships and Contracts with Agencies
RIDECARE can also enter a state through contracts with behavioral health agencies, hospital systems, law enforcement, or tribal nations. This option allows regions to strengthen crisis response without waiting for statewide legislation.

3. Medicaid Credentialed
RIDECARE is a credentialed transportation provider through Medicaid with qualifying mental health and substance abuse diagnoses in Oklahoma. Our goal is to work with Medicaid leadership in each state to expand this model nationwide.
How the Process Works
Bringing RIDECARE into a new state does not follow a single template. Instead, we guide you through the pathway that best fits your region:
1
Identify the need
Determine if your state or agency requires support for mental health or substance use transportation.
3
Choose the best entry option
Whether through state funding, contracts, or Medicaid credentialing, we support you in selecting the pathway that meets your operational and financial goals.
2
Connect with the right stakeholders
Identify the decision makers, from state leadership to Medicaid administrators to local agency partners and we will start reaching out.
4
Launch RIDECARE in your community
Once approved, RIDECARE provides secure, person-centered transportation that strengthens crisis systems and reduces reliance on law enforcement.
